Meditation - Apps That Can Help You

 Teens report that their stress level during the school year are really high on a 10 point scale. This means that they believe it is higher than a normal and healthy 5.8 stress level. Thirty-one percent of teens say that their stress level has increased in the past year and 34 percent believe their stress level will increase in the coming year. Eighty-three percent report that school is a significant source of stress, and 10 percent of teens report receiving lower grades than they are capable of because of stress. But, most importantly, forty-two percent of teens say they are either not doing enough to manage their stress or they are not sure if they are doing enough to manage it. So, I am here to help shed a little light on one small way you can help reduce your own stress. And it only takes two things, your phone and some free time. Meditation is a good way to ease your stress levels as well as make you an all-in-all happier person. The mind, heart, and body can improve with regular meditation. Now, I know, I know. It might sound weird because you haven’t been raised to meditate, but trust me! Mediation has gained millions of converts, helping them ease chronic pain, anxiety, stress, improve heart health, boost mood, and even resolve pregnancy problems!     To help you get started with meditation, how about downloading one of my favorite apps. It’s called “Calm”. When you open the app it will let you choose your goals (like relieving stress). Then you click on a plan and listen away! It will take you through step by step and you will come out feeling refreshed. You can even buy a subscription and gain even more meditating sessions. Also, if you are looking for an even BETTER experience, download and subscribe to Headspace. It costs money but it also is a million times better. I hope you all gained some knowledge!
